WHERE: Masonboro Island North Carolina. It’s the largest undisturbed barrier island along the Southern Part of the North Carolina Coast. (We’ll be getting there by boat) WHAT: We’ll rough it for the weekend! (By rough it I mean raw camping on the beach. This means NO AMENITIES. We will set up pop up toilets, which means either a big hole with a tent around it or a bucket with an attached toilet seat.) THE PURPOSE OF THIS TRIP IS TO….. Grow closer to God and community while sharing the amazing experience of being in His amazing creation. Chase waves and hopefully score!! Adventure, surf, fish, completely relax, it’s up to you! SURFING: The wave is a beachbreak. Like most spots along the East Coast… it’s hit or miss. Hopefully we hit! We have other plans if the surf doesn’t prevail. FISHING: There’s Mullet, Summer Flounder, Pompano, Menhaden and Bluefish HOW DO I GET THERE? It’s up to you to get to Wilmington (If you’re not from the area) Coordinate with folks and carpool! We’ll meet up at the boat ramp and take a buddies boat over to the island together. (The island is only accessible by boat.) Address of Ramp and Time will be sent out week of trip WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING: You’ll need to bring your own camping gear. In depth packing list will be sent to all registrants. Just know this is a camping, not glamping, trip. Food: CS Staff will provide food Friday, Saturday & Sunday. We promise you won’t go hungry!
